With a small team, we will work on big ideas. This means that, just like the cells we study, we have to communicate and act as a collective to ensure that #teamstembryo is more than the sum of its parts. Many projects are cross-disciplinary and will involve dynamic dialogues with biophysicists, modellers and engineers. Science is more fun when you collaborate!

Are you an out-of-the box thinker and tinkerer? Do you prefer collaboration over competition? Are you excited about stembryogenesis, while appreciating the rich history of embryogenesis? Then we should talk! When contacting me, please add a CV, a short paragraph on your interests, and a statement why you think #teamstembryo would be a good match.

Interested in joining for a PhD? You will have to apply to the IMPRS-CellDevoSys PhD program. However, I strongly encourage you to contact me on forehand! If you have a strong interest in combining experiment with theory, the ELBE program might also interest you!

Interested in joining for a postdoc? Please contact me directly to discuss the possibilities. We can set up a plan suited to your own research interests and discuss funding options, such as the ELBE program and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Undergraduates (BSc & MSc) are welcome to contact me any time to discuss the possibilities of performing an internship!
